Old Boy’s important role at BGS Remembrance Service

Dr Alan Black, who attended Connor House between 1962 and 1968 and then Bangor Grammar School until 1975, represented the Grammarians at the School’s annual Remembrance Day service which was held this year, most appropriately, on Friday 11 November. Dr Black, still a serving officer in the Army Reserve, saw active service in Afghanistan in 2013 during Operation Herrick as Commanding Officer of the UK-led multi-national hospital in Camp Bastion.
