Pride in our Medallion team despite semi-final defeat

Saturday’s Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Medallion Shield semi-final saw Bangor Grammar School losing out to a very strong Royal School, Armagh XV at the Queen’s University Arena.
Despite the defeat, the BGS team did much to spark interest and support in the whole school community and beyond. This was particularly evident in the huge response to reports on the Grammarians’ website and Facebook page in advance of the game.
They should all be very proud of having done so well as a team all season.
Royal School, Armagh, will now play Friends’ School, Lisburn in the final at the Kingspan Stadium on Tuesday 7 March at 2-30pm. We wish them well.
