The Careers Department will be holding its annual  Interview Skills Day for our Year 14 pupils on Wednesday 23rd November.  If you have experience in conducting interviews as part of your job remit  and would like to be one of our panel of advisors, please contact Mrs Shaw as below.

The Careers Fair has also become an annual event here at Bangor Grammar School, and will be held in the afternoon of Friday 10th February; pupils from schools in the North Down Area and beyond are also invited to attend.  We are looking for businesses or organisations in either the local area or in Northern Ireland as a whole to be represented at the Fair.  It is targeted at pupils in Years 10-14 and is intended as a showcase for employers.  Companies and organisations will be allocated a stall and pupils and parents will have the opportunity to speak with business representatives about Careers prospects in their area of expertise.

If you would like more information about attending either event, please contact Mrs Rosemary Shaw at either the school email address info@bgs.bangor.ni.sch.uk (with subject Careers)or by phone at 91473734.

We have started a Careers Club in school.  This is a frequent lunchtime event where local business people talk informally to groups of interested boys.  If you would like to help us out in this, please contact Mr Mark Robinson on the school email address info@bgs.bangor.ni.sch.uk (again, with subject Careers) or by phone at 91473734.  We would be particularly keen to hear from our mainland and oversees old boys who could spare an hour while on a trip home.

The past support from Grammarians has been superb, and we look forward to hearing from you again.
