The traditional Boxing Day hockey fixtures at Bangor Grammar School’s Gransha Road campus proved an outstanding success, thanks to the excellent endeavours of George Wilson, who arranged the games, teams, umpires, etc. and also vice-principal Stephen Robinson, who helped to make it all possible.
Whilst somewhat chilly, the sunny weather (very welcome after the wet conditions on Christmas Day), coupled with the customary seasonal fayre, ensured it was day that will long be remembered.
A detailed report on the matches should feature in a forthcoming edition of the County Down Spectator.
